Hi, It is about 45 minutes past midnight here in Germany. We were invited to the party of very good friends. Jessica has not been to good lately. She wants to tear basically every book in sight. At first we thought we would take turns at the party. I would go first, and then a few hours into it, Juergen would come, and I would take Jessica. I have been cleaning house all day. Very good friends come for a New years day brunch. Any way, I was tired and asked Juergen to just go with Philip, Thomas, and Nicole. I stayed home with Jessica. Before you feel sorry for me...don't. I had such a deep desire to pray in this New Year. I was not really in the mood for a party, even though I love the great people that were to be there! I turned on God TV tonight. I saw a "One Thing" conference from Kansas City. The worship was wonderful...it went on for over one hour. I was very blessed. At 11pm there was a one hour interview with Reinhard Bonnke. Many of you know what a personal blessing Bonnke is to me. As the clock struck midnight, I was praying for Jessica. At first it was a pleading kind of prayer, but changed very quickly to worship. It was as if God was assuring me He had heard my cry for Jessica. My heart is so glad! The fire works continue to blast all around the city. I think it will be awhile until Juergen can safely drive home. I wanted to write this down. I did not want to forget this amazing peace I have. I feel so sure that God has heard my cry. Bonnke made a statement in his interview. He said the Gospel is not History, it is News! That is, God has not just worked wonders in history, He is working wonders now! He is making News! I believe God will make News in our lives in 2007! I pray He also makes some News in your lives too!
My niece had a beautiful baby girl named Olivia Rose (Beautiful name). Everyone is very excited and thank God healthy! Congratulations to the whole family! Hugs to my sister Shelley who is now a proud grandma for the 2nd time. My sister Dianna has 6 grand kids (I think). My brother and I are too young for such an blessing. At least our kids are too young. I'm going to have to wait to be called grandma. Here is a cool picture I took off Shelley's blog. It shows Eric (the tired but proud grandpa) Lissa with her first daughter Charlotte, and then a sleeping Olivia Rose. 3 generations in one shot. How fast life goes by! How beautiful life can be!
