The Earth belongs to God!

Last night Nicole and I were listening to the Bible. We are trying to do the One Year Bible together. We heard Exodus 8:1-9:35, and Matthew 19:13-30. Two times we heard that The Earth is the Lords, and that the Earth is the Lords and everything in it. It made me think. Often we think the world belongs to Satan. He actually tries to make us believe this. It seems like Satan has control of so much of Governments, Media, and individual lives. But the Bible says the Earth is Gods property! I think that means we have a bit more authority to ask God to provide what we need, and have His way in situations. "Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven". The Earth belongs to God!

Derek Prince

I was listening to Derek Prince speak this morning on the God Channel . If you don't watch God Channel on your cable, satellite TV, or on the Internet you should check it out. It is great spiritual food! Anyway, Derek Prince was speaking about Israel. He had a cold and needed to blow his nose. He said, "I make a point of telling you I need to blow my nose because a blown nose sounds terrible over the microphone" then He said, "It looks worse if you don't blow it"! It cracked me up!!! This dry British Bible teacher! I find there are many things in life I must do. Many things that are not pleasant...but worse if I don't do them. I experience allot of difficult or messy stuff being a parent. That is just the stuff of life! I heard Rick Joyner of Morning Star say once, God said he would give us an abundant life. That does not mean He would give us a good life, just allot of it!

Israel has given a great gift to the world

Some times when you hear a message over and over in a short period of time you just know God is trying to get your attention. One topic I have been hearing and reading is that Israel has given a great gift to the world. We owe a great debt to Israel! Through Israel we have the law, the prophets, all of the Bible (except maybe the book of Luke), and Jesus. In Genesis 12:2-3 God say to Abram, "I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you." Our family was blessed to travel to Israel about 2 years ago. Every Christian who has been there will tell you the same thing; the Bible comes alive in Israel! If you have the chance to travel there you should take it! I believe it is the center of the world. It is where Jesus will return (to the M...
A man walked into his office, and was full of dread. He had a stack of maybe 200 job applications and only one job to give. He was looking pretty down when his boss walks into the office. The boss asks, "what is the problem"? After explaining the problem, the boss says "that's easy"! "Just take the bottom 50 applications, and get rid of the top 150". The fist man says, "but what if the smartest person is in the first 150 applications"? The boss says, "I would rather have some one lucky then smart"!!!

Sunday school

I teach Sunday school in English one time each month. Today was wedding day. I did a study about Jesus first miracle at Cana in Galilee. He turned water to wine. The thing that I found interesting from this passage (John 2) was that Mary saw a need, and she brought that need to Jesus. He used water in jars...that is all he needed ! God does not need anything to make a miracle! Bring your need to Jesus! Here are some photos of our great kids! They are designing wedding dresses from toilet paper. They are also modeling their new team shirts!

No half prayers!

This morning I was riding in the car with Juergen. Somehow the subject of healing came up. I said I was praying all the time for Jessica's healing. He asked me if I was just praying for her to talk or a total healing. By the way, some of you reading this don't know Jessica. She is 15 years old and has autism. She can not talk (but talked until she was two years old), and has other physical problems and learning issues. I said I was praying for a total healing! I want Jessica to talk, but I would never be satisfied until she is really whole! Why should we ask God for half a miracle? It reminded me of this funny commercial...

The Iron Chef

My Dad got my kids hooked on the Iron Chef. He records it for us in the USA, and I let the kids watch it on video.

Was it an Angel?

Hi, every year a man from the circus comes to our door and asks for money to feed the animals. This is at least the 3RD, maybe 4TH year I have given him money. I generally never give money at the door, but for some reason I have always trusted this man. He is a "little person", is that the politically correct term for a dwarf? This year we chatted for a few minutes, and for some reason he asked me if I was a believer. I said yes I was. He asked to pray for us (my family). He took my hand and prayed a beautiful prayer in Jesus name. He was filled with the Spirit of God...or maybe He is actually an Angel? I was in the old town of Heidelberg window shopping with Jessica this past weekend. It is the end of the Christmas season. There are sweet looking angels in many of the windows. I kept telling Jessica, “You know Jessica that is not what an angel looks like”! “Angels are mighty warriors of God”! Don't forget to be kind to strangers. For some who have done this ha...

When I get old

I was laying in bed this morning, an Nicole brought me my coffee! It will be awhile until I can enjoy a cup of coffee in bed. Tomorrow our two week Christmas vacation is over, and the kids go back to school. I need to get up with Nicole at 6:30 am tomorrow morning. Nicole had listened to the news on the radio. She said they are predicting 2007 will be the hottest year ever recorded. They expect the extreme heat in Paris that they have had the past two summers. Thousands of people (mostly old people) died alone in their apartments from the heat over the past two years. This isolation is a curse of "modern" society. Germans also have a negative birth rate. 40% of all Germans say they want no children at all. What so many of them fail to think about is no children means no one to check on them when they are old. They spend all their time and money on themselves...but they are looking at a lonely isolated future were there is no one to claim their body when they die alo...

New Years

Hi, It is about 45 minutes past midnight here in Germany. We were invited to the party of very good friends. Jessica has not been to good lately. She wants to tear basically every book in sight. At first we thought we would take turns at the party. I would go first, and then a few hours into it, Juergen would come, and I would take Jessica. I have been cleaning house all day. Very good friends come for a New years day brunch. Any way, I was tired and asked Juergen to just go with Philip, Thomas, and Nicole. I stayed home with Jessica. Before you feel sorry for me...don't. I had such a deep desire to pray in this New Year. I was not really in the mood for a party, even though I love the great people that were to be there! I turned on God TV tonight. I saw a "One Thing" conference from Kansas City. The worship was wonderful...it went on for over one hour. I was very blessed. At 11pm there was a one hour interview with Reinhard Bonnke. Many of you know w...
