I just found this study on "Why IS Serving the Poor So Important?". God has been slowly cultivating a passion in my heart for the poor. It is my desire to share this passion with others, and especially with my own children. I would love to take each of my children on missions trips to help serve the poor. You can say to people "give to the poor", but until they go...they have no real heart to give! When they see poverty with their own eyes,and meet people who experience poverty,then it changes their world view. I am considering taking Nicole on a trip this summer.I'm not sure if it is do able,because we are adopting Sarah, but maybe we can make it work?
My niece had a beautiful baby girl named Olivia Rose (Beautiful name). Everyone is very excited and thank God healthy! Congratulations to the whole family! Hugs to my sister Shelley who is now a proud grandma for the 2nd time. My sister Dianna has 6 grand kids (I think). My brother and I are too young for such an blessing. At least our kids are too young. I'm going to have to wait to be called grandma. Here is a cool picture I took off Shelley's blog.
