I'm not sure if everyone reading our family journal actually reads out adoption blog. Anyway, we are in the process of adopting a 3 year old girl from Nanjing China. The paper work took allot more time then we had hoped. DHL even lost 3 of our important documents, and we needed to have them redone. How often does DHL lose a paper? Maybe one time in a million? Anyway, the papers are all ready to go to China today (by FedEx). I thank God for helping us make it this far. It would be a miracle if we could travel to China before the end of the year. It is realistic to think it will be January or February. I like the miracle scenario, but either way I will trust Gods timing is perfect! Here is Sarah our new daughter.
Why not start with an IBC and cut a hole for the door? You could build closed laying boxes into it, and something for the chickens to roost on. Put some straw or saw dust on the floor. You could add vents to the side for air. If it sat inside a chicken run that you can walk into, the chickens could be safe, dry and happy. I have an extra IBC. Maybe this could be my chicken house? I bet I could even plant the outside of it with mud and grass for extra insulation and good looks.
