I have allot of catching up to do. I just plugged my computer in and checked my mail for the first time in 2 weeks. It was a few hundred pieces of spam and a hand full of real mail. I hope I didn't delete anything too important. The jet lag has got a good grip on my brain. I am going to need a few days to begin feeling like a person. You may or may not get some understandable words from my end. I do have a great deal to report. It was a very full 2 weeks. I'm going to slowly post photos and video and thoughts. For now, I'm home. I missed my family. I loved my hugs and kisses from Sarah and Juergen. The boys are still at camp. The yard has grown. the grapes are almost ripe (so glad we did not miss them). The tomato's are red on the vine. The weather is beautiful...and I'm blessed to be living in such a nice place!
Why not start with an IBC and cut a hole for the door? You could build closed laying boxes into it, and something for the chickens to roost on. Put some straw or saw dust on the floor. You could add vents to the side for air. If it sat inside a chicken run that you can walk into, the chickens could be safe, dry and happy. I have an extra IBC. Maybe this could be my chicken house? I bet I could even plant the outside of it with mud and grass for extra insulation and good looks.
