I'm only looking at the old houses because I think they are charming. I also enjoy the history they share about the area. This is why I enjoy this program. We are not moving (God willing) anywhere.
This is a great idea. Chickens also need calcium for strong eggs. I've heard you should feed them crushed egg shells. This would be a good way to do this.
My dad had an impala too. This made me cry. In fact I even rented an Impala a few days ago so I can drive myself from Oregon back to Seattle to catch the plane home in March. Too bad it's not an old Impala. This is so great! They looked 5 years for this car, so they could return it to their dad.
Here is Nicole's http://www.cafepress.com/nicoleheymannart Cafe Press store if you want to buy one of her Super Bowl t-shirts, mugs or Bags. I'm sure she will be adding more of her original Art work to her store. So you could buy a collection of her coffee cups. This is what I’m going to buy.
This is from early march 2014. Just think...in only 4 or 5 weeks we can get out in the garden! One more month to dream, plan, and order stuff online! Jessica is home sick with a bad cold. I hope I don't get sick too. Her poor nose looks like Rudolph’s! I'm continuing to just put stuff away, organize and "spring clean". I guess I have a month to work inside, then I will move outside.
I'm getting ready to get my chickens. I bought 3 of these kits for my coop. Jürgen and I think we will convert the frame of out tomato house into a chicken run. It is 3 meters wide and 6 meters long. It is already set in concrete. It will need chicken wire and a door. So no more tomato house. I know chickens generally don't need so much space. I want Brahma chickens. They are very big birds. 70 cm tall...like small dogs. And I may let them free range when I’m in the garden, but I don't want to have to let the free range. If anyone has a little tike’s play house they want to sell, I think that is what I want to build the coop with. I like the idea of a plastic coop. It is easier to clean a plastic coop.
I took this photo looking back on a storm we drove through in Wyoming. I was Nicole, moving my best friend Cindy across country. The storm was scary. The rain and wind blew our van around. And we were in the middle of nowhere. There was no place to stop. No place to pull over. I just drove and they prayed and sang. To be honest, I cried. It felt like we would get hit with a tornado. There were tornados in the area. It took hours to drive out of danger. And when we finally got to a calm place, I pulled over and shot this picture. I wanted to always remember the idea of keep on moving...if you don't like the storm you are in. Keep driving until you are past it.
