I could not go anywhere this morning because Jessica (my 23
year old autistic daughter) took my keys and put them someplace. I finally found them after looking for two
hours. They were on Jürgen’s side of the
bed. She hides them in the oddest
places. Once they were lost for
days. She had put them in a shopping
bag. Jess loves to shop. She often grabs her shoes, my keys and the
bags. She cannot talk, but has a good
way of communicating what she wants.
Sadly, I didn't get any shopping done this morning.
Why not start with an IBC and cut a hole for the door? You could build closed laying boxes into it, and something for the chickens to roost on. Put some straw or saw dust on the floor. You could add vents to the side for air. If it sat inside a chicken run that you can walk into, the chickens could be safe, dry and happy. I have an extra IBC. Maybe this could be my chicken house? I bet I could even plant the outside of it with mud and grass for extra insulation and good looks.
