The Heymann Family Journal

It's my Mom's birthday and we had a really wonderful day at the coast.  I was afraid the weather would be bad.   It rained first thing in the morning.   But it cleared up, and stayed nice the entire day.   It was wonderful.   I think everyone had a good time.   I know I did.  

Philip and I had a good flight to Portland, Oregon.  I rented a car and we drove to Corvallis.  I was pretty tired and went to bed pretty early.  I slept most of the night.  Today we put together Easter baskets for the family with German candy.  We also did some shopping.  I bought the cutest Easter dresses for my God daughters.  And I'm going to make laundry soap for my mom.  Tomorrow we go to the Oregon coast.  It should be raining (sadly).  But I'm sure it will be beautiful. 

We think that we will keep the house yellow.  I love Terracotta, but think it would make the house stand out too much.  We don't want our house to be too “ in your face” nice.  So we will keep it yellow.  It will look clean and nice, but not too extreme.
