Nicole went to a birthday party. And everyone was supose to dress as a hero. So Nicole came as a guitar hero (that's a wii game). Very creative! I love the gloves made from old socks and soda straws. She painted the t-shirt and the shoulders are trash bags.I love it!

Last weekend I babysat my god daughter Anna. We went shopping. And she could say "I want it" very good. She is 2 years old! Well, I've been looking for a chicken coop design that I like. And my sister Shelley found it. It's made with a playhouse. I love it! So now I start looking for a playhouse! Juergen has not agreed to chickens yet. I just have the mind set, if you build it they will come!

I needed to take Sarah to a Drs appointment this morn. so we went out to breakfast. And the waitress was rude. She made us wait and wait. She served 2 or 3 other parties first even when we were there first. She gave us half our order, and we had to ask her 2 times for the rest. And I told Sarah it was a first world problem. So we gave the women a big tip. And I could have lead that women to Jesus right then and there. She had been so rude and we blessed her. And I thank God for my daughter Sarah. We had a great morning together. And we have food and each other. And we are blessed!

Easter is a few weeks away. My friend Jodi is going to China to bring home 2 little boys. This is their 6th adoption. And as many of my friends know International adoption is not cheap. So I decided to make some good use of my time while I’m waiting for the spring to come. I want to raise some money for Jodie’s adoptions. Today I was shopping with my daughter Jessica. We found these really cute tea wands that are flowers. It was sort of warm and sunny today so I cleaned out my car. I vacuumed it, washed the inside out. Then I took Philip to the car wash and we washed the outside of the car. It looks new. And actually it is pretty new. But now it actually looks new. And just as we finished washing the car it began to snow again! Oh the things I would do if we only had good weather!

I like eBay in Germany. I just won this 1943 china cabinet for just one euro. Sadly for the owner nobody wanted it. I was the only bidder. I think it's got a cool design. I'm sure I can find just the right spot to put it. It will either go in the office to hold bank papers, or the back hall to hold shoes. For one euro you can not go wrong! I like old stuff!

It was snowing hard this morning so Jessica's teacher could not come. The kids were loud. But it cleared up this afternoon and they could get out and play football. I'm happy this vacation is nearly over. I have been trapped in this house all week. I have no chance to get out. It doesn't seem like an early spring to me. I could use a few hours for myself. Hopefully everyone will be well next week, and the kids can all get back to school. I'm feeling trapped.

Today is Valentines day. Juergen took the morning off and took us all out to breakfast (the kids have vacation this week). And we played a little game where we gave each other gifts. It was a “if money was no object, what would you give to each other” question. So the boys were giving Ferraris and airplanes and Villas. Sarah was sweet. She gave me flowers. Nicole renovated my garden. And Juergen finished renovation our house (new paint and windows). But the icing on the cake was the dead mole. Juergen gave me a dead mole for Valentines day. Some women get chocolate, others get roses…but my guy gave me a dead mole. I’m speechless. I would never in a million years considered getting a dead mole for myself.

I just watched The King and I with Sarah.

Sarah was so excited, and up one hour early! I walked her to the bus. As she climbed on the bus, everyone began to sing happy birthday. Isn't that great! She's going to have a blessed day!

Sarah is going to be ten on Thursday. I was shopping for gifts and cake mix today. She will bring brownies to school, then go to Lego day at our church in the afternoon. That night we have a family party. Sunday she has a costume bowling party. It's a big week for our princess! She was cleaning up her room, and even did her own laundry. She carried a big basket down to the laundry room, washed it, put it in the dryer, and I helped her fold it. And as I type this, she is putting the cloths away. I can hardly believe the progress I see in her. What a gift God has blessed us with. It was not easy, but nothing worth doing is!

Juergen was doing some ironing and mentioned we need a new ironing board. I would never notice a thing like that. I never iron. That was part of our prenuptial agreement. He has a birthday coming up in June. Now I know what to get him!

Nicole and I have been wheat free for about 3 months now. But I'm learning that replacing wheat with gluten free stuff is also bad for you. Most GF breads will also make your insulin levels go up. So I have allot to learn. getting rid of wheat can bring many health benefits. It is worth considering. Even my German husband who lives on bread pizza and beer is considering going wheat free. But you can not replace wheat with other bad carbs. And GF products have corn starch and potato starch. It’s healthier to learn to eat whole foods, not processed foods.
