Driving Jessicas taxi

I have been writing on Jessica's blog for the past 6 weeks about Jessica and praying for her healing. I did not post these blog entry's because I did not want my parents to know we were coming. If you would like to go back and read the past 20 posts they are HERE . I'll write more when I get home. Jess is doing great...and she is so sweet and wonderful! Can you please keep believing for a miracle in her life? I see very good progress, but not a total healing (yet).

Up date from Oregon

Hi people! I'm in Oregon with my parents. They have a dial up Internet (very slow...too slow). I'll load photos when I get home next week. The big news is I brought Jessica on this trip. I never told anyone because I wanted to surprise my parents. I have the coolest video of them crying at the airport in Eugen when they saw her. My dad has not seen Jess for 5 years. She has done great the whole time. There is so much to say, but I'll blog it all next week. Nicole is in Mexico now. I don't get to hear from her until Saturday when I pick her up in San Diego. Please continue to pray for her. I'm sure it will be an incredible week for her! I talked to Juergen, and he brought Philip and Thomas to camp. It's their first camp experience. Juergen said Philip was pretty afraid. The tent counsellor took the boys to the lake for a swim the first minute they arrived. I'm sure they will have a super time. It's a Christian camp. We are praying it a

In San Diego

We are in San Diego at my best friend Cindy's house. We basically just took our time getting here yesterday. We are pretty tired still. The big job yesterday was shopping for all the small things Nicole still needed for her trip. She needed building supplies, some food stuff, medical supplies and so on. The list is complete and she is ready to go to Mexico on Saturday. Today Cindy is taking Nicole to a prophetic art class. They are painting art that has a prophetic meaning. I can not wait to see what she paints. The class is only 4 hours so I stayed behind to call Juergen and read and pray. It feels wonderful to be here. Cindy and I have been best friends for about 20 years. I miss her so much. I really don't care much about what we do, it's just being with her that matters. I feel the same way about my family in Oregon. I look forward to being home! Sorry for the lack of photos. Cindy has a very old computer. Maybe I can load some pictures when I get to Oregon? Juergen and

I stayed awake

I don't remember much from Disneyland. I had jet lag pretty bad. It is all sort of a blur. I enjoyed my friends Donna and Cindy. The highlight for me was our long lunch in a very over priced but nice Mexican place. I said it was expensive, and Cindy said"no, I know of many other places where you can spend more for less"! I managed to stay awake until 10pm and I slept nearly all night. If the goal is getting over jet lag then we are really doing well! Sorry, no pictures yet. I'm still using the Hotel computer. We drive slowly to San Diego today. We are going out to another great American breakfast (we plan to skip lunch). We also have to shop for the last things Nicole needs for Mexico. I send a big hug and kiss to Juergen and the kids, I will try to talk to you from Cindy's house tonight. Mom and Dad, I am looking forward to seeing you soon!!!

We are here

Hi, I could not configure the wireless Internet last night. I'm using the business center to write this post. The flight was long, and very crowed. I felt like a pretzel when we finally landed in LA. Our rental car is really fun. It"s a new Chevy roadster. I'll take a picture and post it when I can. I did not sleep well, but a 9 hour time change is hard to adjust to. I feel OK. Nicole has a sleeping gift. She had 8 good hours of sleep. We went to IHOP for a great American breakfast. We drank good OJ just for Juergen. I love you sweetheart!!! I'm waiting for my friends to come from San Diego and we are going to Disneyland. If I keep busy and drink lots of coffee maybe I'll get over the jet lag. So far we are all so happy to be here, and everything is wonderful!!!

God Guard all our hopes and dreams

God is able to do impossible things so we should be bold and ask him for great things. We should be careful to protect our dreams. If the enemy can not kill you, he will do his best to kill your dreams. Guard your dreams, and do not be afraid to trust God to bring your dreams into reality! In less then 24 hours I am escorting Nicole to the USA...and she will live out a dream she had 2 years ago. I'm so honored and blessed to be moving into this adventure. God gives me peace that He is going to prepare the ground before us. I have dreams too. I have not shared all my dreams with you but I trust God with all my hopes and expectations. I'm not really sure I'll be able to blog until I get to Oregon next Sunday (July 27Th). If I can blog I will. I hope my friends will remember to pray for us. Please remember to pray for Juergen and the kids too. I hope to report what God has done...and tell you my dreams have come true! The photo is of Jessica at Disneyland Paris. I hope to meet

A little last minute business

My sister loves this ice cream. Nicole and I toasted our trip with a bite. To be honest, I gave the ice cream to Sarah & Nicole gave hers to Philip. I bought the milk chocolate type and I'm strictly a dark chocolate girl! Shelley this magnum is for you!!!

Is anyone sick?

Last night two of the Elders from our church came to our house to pray for Jessica. It was wonderful! They also prayed for my trip. Jess slept well last night. She has had a wonderful week at school. Two times this week she kissed the bus driver. Normally she hits and scratches because she really does not want to go to school. This week was different. I believe God is healing her. It is a process...but we are on the way! I am listening to John Arnot (Toronto Airport Church). He just preached that we should not doubt that healing is God's will. Jesus healed everyone who came to him. Jesus only did the will of God. Healing is nothing we need to work for. It is nothing we need to deserve. Healing is a gift from God from Jesus who loves us. We only need to ask God to forgive us if we have any unforgiveness standing in the way. Then just ask.

Mike for VP!!!

"When I first started running for office, a lady asked me, 'Are you one of those narrow-minded Baptist ministers who think only Baptists will go to heaven?'" He replies, "Actually I'm more narrow than that. I don't think all the Baptists are going to make it." -Mike Huckabee

keep them alive

I made the kids baked chicken with rice and vegetables. The kids only wanted to eat the chicken. I said "no snacks until you eat your vegetables". I just know the only vegetables they will see when I'm gone are mushrooms on the top of frozen pizza and maybe lettuce on a hamburger. I am not going to think about it. I'm going to get on that airplane next Monday and trust Juergen to keep them alive until I return. God, give us grace to accept the things that cannot be changed, courage to change the things that should be changed, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Sleeping in?

When Juergen gets to sleep in I shut the bedroom door and basically threaten the kids with death if they dare to bother him. "Papa is sleeping, and he needs his sleep"!!!It was my morning to sleep in so what does Juergen do? "Amy, does Philip have sports today"? I hear Juergen scream up the stairs. Next thing I know, there is Sarah standing next to my bed. "Where is my paper"? I tell her it's by the sofa in the living room. Because I don't spring up to get it she screams and starts hitting the door. Then I hear Juergen ask Sarah "what's wrong? Mama is upstairs". Sarah shouts, "I don't want Mama anymore". Next thing I remember is Juergen shouting, "Amy I have to go". Oh, it's so nice to sleep in. That extra hour makes all the difference!

Thank you so much!!!

Once again, I want to thank every single person who gave money for wood , nails & paint for a house in Mexico. We drew a name & I want to send a Big Congratulations to our good friends Uli and Eva in Munich. You get the special chocolate prize. We hope you are hungry!!! We love you so much!!!

Cards

After lunch Thomas is sitting counting the football cards he has. Over 40. I'm thinking 40? And so I ask, "Thomas, were did you get the money for all those cards"? Uh Oh!!! Silence. I ask again, and again. Guilt! So I say, "You will not get in trouble if you tell me the truth, but if you don't tell me the truth you are in BIG TROUBLE"!!! So the answer comes, he took it from Philip's bank. Thomas has money. I'm keeping it for his new bike. So I pay Philip with Thomas' money and I tell him to ask me for his money if he wants money. If it takes longer to raise money for a bike, well OK. But it's not right to steal. It did not phase Philip. Some how Thomas needs to learn you can not have your cake, and eat it too...but better to eat your own cake then steal your brothers cake! He has not done anything most of us have not done. Growing up is hard to do! Bless his heart! God bless his heart!!! I'm looking on e-bay for bikes. Pray that I can fi

Hope deferred makes the heart sick, But desire fulfilled is a tree of life. -Proverbs 13:12

Psalm 103

1 Praise the LORD, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. 2 Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits- 3 who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases , 4 who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, 5 who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's. 6 The LORD works righteousness and justice for all the oppressed. 7 He made known his ways to Moses, his deeds to the people of Israel: 8 The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love. 9 He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever; 10 he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. 11 For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; 12 as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. 13 As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on th

The cake sale was a hit!

Nicole's youth group sold cake after church. They made 225€ towards the house in Mexico. The final total was $1400. I have already sent the money by pay pal to Baja Christian ministries for building material. Again I want to say thank you to everyone who gave money! BCM is going to build 10 houses during the week Nicole is there. They have a goal of building 10,000 over the next 10 years. Who knows...maybe I'll bring the whole youth group to Mexico next year? We will draw a name from the individual donors and award a prize of chocolate. Look for an announcement tomorrow!

Mark Buntain

I was thinking of the Spiritual heritage God has blessed me with. Once when I was a young person Mark Buntain spoke in my church. He was unlike any person I had ever seen. He was really intense! He was so in love with Jesus and passionate about his work. What was his work? He feed about 800,000 hungry people every single day in Calcutta India . The ministry he began over 53 years ago still continues. He built a hospital that provides free care for the poor, they continue to feed the poor, and they also educate kids. What an honor to have witnessed the fiery preaching of this saint of God. You can read more about the ministry HERE .

Money for the house in Mexico

Tomorrow Nicole's youth group is selling cake after church to raise money for the house in Mexico. So far she has raised $1042 for building materials. Baja Christian Ministries has a link where you can donate money online. I will send all the money Nicole raised directly to Baja Christian Ministries tomorrow. After the cake sale, I'll let you know the final total raised. I also have a list of the people who donated to the house project. We will be drawing one of the donors names tomorrow and giving that person some German chocolate as a special thank you. I'm sorry we did not manage to raise the money for one whole house...but every dime helps and I am very grateful for every single person who gave towards this cause. Your money will go to buy wood, paint and nails. A family will live in a home instead of a cardboard box because you provided material for their walls! Thank you very much!!! You can always donate directly to Baja Christian Ministries . They accept paypal

I'm packing for my trip

I've been collecting stuff to bring to America for months. Today I finally dug out the suitcases (actually Juergen did). I'm packing!!!!! I don't think I have enough space for all the gifts for my family. I feel like crying because the time will be way to short, but I am so happy that I'm going to be traveling soon!!! I don't even get a week with my parents, but I will take what I can get. I live too far away from home. I am so grateful to God I've been blessed to go home almost every year. That in it's self is a gift. It really is so cool to see the suit cases sitting on my bedroom floor!

In the next 60 days

Last night I was watching the re-broadcast of the Lakeland Revival from July 9Th. The young man that was preaching had a word of prophecy. He said look for it, revival will break out in Germany in the next 60 days. I say, "Amen"!!!

Jessica's Art for Sale

This photo was taken today of Jessica and some of her art work. I haven't got the wall space for all of this art so I think I will sell it to raise some money for orphans. If you would like a picture then let me know.

I'm a Senior Citizen

I'm not a Senior Citizen (yet). I copied this for my dad because I like to make him laugh! I'm a Senior Citizen I'm the life of the party-even when it lasts until 8:00 p.m.I'm very good at opening childproof caps - with a hammer.I'm usually interested in going home before I get to where I'm going.I'm good on a trip for at least an hour without my aspirin, bean-o, antacid...I'm the first one to find the bathroom wherever I go.I'm awake many hours before my body allows me to get up.I'm smiling all the time because I can't hear a word you are saying.I'm very good at telling stories...over and over and over and over.I'm aware that other people's grandchildren are not as bright as mine.I'm so cared for: Long-term care, eye care, hearing care, dental care...I'm not grouchy - I just don't like traffic, waiting, crowds, children, politicians...I'm positive I did housework correctly before my husband retired.I'm sure e

Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life. I'm longing to see Jessica healed!

It's included in the cost

I'm listening to the audio book, "The Supernatural Power of a Transformed Mind" by Bill Johnson. It's a great book. I think I will get through the whole book tonight, and listen to it again and again. He tells the story of a family living in Europe that wants to move to the USA. They are poor and plan for along time to take the boat. They buy their tickets for the ship. They pack all kinds of food they believe they will need for the weeks spent in the small cabin they will share. At dinner time they can hear all the passengers heading for the dinning hall as they eat their crackers. Finally, on the last night of the trip the father decides to treat his family to a good meal to celebrate. After the meal the father asks the waiter, "how much do I owe you"? The waiter looks confused and says, it was included in the price of the ticket. His point is God included so much more for us then spiritual salvation when he died on the cross. How many Christians are survi

Charred bodies found on Tijuana street

I'm going to be leaving Nicole in Tijuana in just a few short weeks (July26). She will be with 100 other young people building 10 houses for poor families in the hills of Tijuana. Please pray for her safety. California is having fires...Mexico too. The drug problem is really bad. I'm not worried but I do pray for Gods total protection. Matthew 10

"Then he summoned his twelve disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits to drive them out and to cure every disease and every illness. " "As you go, make this proclamation: 'The kingdom of heaven is at hand.' Cure the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, drive out demons." These are the works of the kingdom of heaven... Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your Kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven God let your kingdom come!!! God I want your kingdom in Jessica's life! God I want your kingdom!!! God I want your kingdom!!!

Small but fine

I just got Nicole a very small digital camera to take to Mexico. She took these pictures of our small garden. The plants in the raised beds are doing so well, I bought 4 more sand boxes to plant. That's today's job.

this sheep is for you

I love you Dad!

I'm shopping to go

I spent the morning shopping for our trip. I got a few new cloths. I also bought Nicole a small little digital camera. It doesn’t have video, just photos. I also got her a memory card that should hold 1000 photo's so we are set. It isn't a holiday in Germany. No BQ's or parades here. I believe it's my sister Dianna's wedding Anniversary. Her husband set the day on a date he knew he wouldn't forget. So happy Anniversary to You Dianna and Paul! God Bless your Marriage, I pray for a wonderful, peaceful, healthy year ahead! I hope you all have a great weekend!!!

Tile

How hard could it be to lay down bathroom tile? I've seen it done a million times on do it your self shows. I looked at tile at a specialty store today. I'm not picky; I just have very expensive taste! I found a hand made tile I just love but they wanted 50€ per square meter, and the boarder tile was only 25€ per square meter, then the floor tile was 30€. The total would be around 1,500 € and the real cost comes with the insulation! People have told me a new bathroom would cost at least 15,000€ and I thought they were kidding!!! I think I can find the tile half price at a building supply store or on eBay. Now we just need to find the right person to put it in. We had a really great hand worker put tile in our kitchen, hallway, guest toilet and dinning room. He was really fast and did a super job. I hope we can manage to get him to do the work. Juergen may get his wish to just take a vacation. It's looking basically impossible to line the help up in such a short time. What d

Crown him with many crowns

Crown him with many crowns,The lamb upon the throne: Hark! how the heav ’ nly anthem drowns All music but it’s own!Awake, my soul, and sing Of him who died for thee,And hail him as thy matchless king Thru all eternity. I was sitting at my desk looking at my pen. My pen has a few charms handing from it. A heart and a crown. It made me think of this old song. It has many verses... Crown Him the Son of God, before the worlds began,And ye who tread where He hath trod, crown Him the Son of Man Who every grief hath known that wrings the human breast,And takes and bears them for His own, that all in Him may rest. Crown Him the Lord of life, who triumphed over the grave,And rose victorious in the strife for those He came to save. His glories now we sing, Who died, and rose on high,Who died eternal life to bring, and lives that death may die. ...Amen

Amazing!!!

Thomas got to start taking drugs for ADHD. Oh my!!! He is a different boy!!! They said it either helps or it doesn't. I am so glad it helps!!! He said he can concentrate better. His speech is clearer. He was helpful and even nice to our poor dog! It is amazing! I hope this is no dream!!! Now we have to go through all the loops to help Philip too. Some people think ADHD is not physical. I know different. Thank God this is helping Thomas.
